Shower Trailers put the fun back in festivals!

Think Woodstock…days on end with thousands of people, all outdoors in the heat, and NOBODY has showered for days on end.  While that may have been a hit in the 60′s, today we are spoiled by hot showers and strong deodorant.  For that very reason, shower trailers are gaining popularity in the event planning arena.  Having a shower trailer on site can turn a single day event into a multi-day festival, like the sky diving festival Portable Restroom Trailers will be providing units for over labor day weekend!   We’ve done Nascar events, horse races and shows, weddings, university graduations, biker events, NFL and other sporting events, wine festivals, and the list goes on and on.  Corporate sponsorships have also increased, because now they can put their name in front of the consumer for days instead of hours, which means a huge difference to their bottom line when it comes to advertising exposure. Whether a separate shower trailer from the restroom trailers or a combination shower/toilet combination trailer, the trend is growing to have facilities on site.

Although construction sites have been using shower trailers for quite some time, the general public is rather new to the concept.  When you see the inside of these units, you will be amazed that the look and feel is more of a home bathroom than a portable shower.  The trailers can be as fancy or as simple as you want them, they come in multiple shapes and sizes with amenities to match.  Since all units come with self-contained water tanks as well, these can be set up even if there is not running water on site.

Another constant market for portable restroom and shower trailers is the Disaster Relief market.  They provide sanitary, well ventilated, fresh smelling facilities for workers and victims alike.   Usually set up on long-term rental contracts, our units can solve at least one challenge these areas face…clean facilities to help aid workers and victims feel more comfortable in the midst of chaos and suffering.  While we always are grateful for business, it is bitter-sweet to provide mobile restrooms and showers for Disaster Relief  sites.

Lease To Own Programs

When we provide portable restroom trailers for special occasions, sporting events, festivals, or other short-term needs we often get comments that our units were the most impressive thing about the event!  But did you know that we also provide long-term rentals and even sell units to customers, often on a Lease To Own program?  Keep in mind we are not talking about porta potties here, our portable restroom and shower trailers are gorgeous and have running water, flushable toilets, individual stalls, and are ADA compliant.  Nobody wants to use porta potties because they smell, they are unsanitary, and they have a negative stigma…but we actually have to get people OUT of our facilities when the crowds are large and people are waiting!

A business may have multiple reasons to have portable restroom facilities for their customers.  Sometimes it is due to construction or remodeling and the restroom trailers provide a clean environment for the duration of the project.  These are just leased out on a long-term rental agreement.  However, other times it may be used as a permanent solution to provide a cost-effective way to offer sanitary, attractive facilities without the expense of building a restroom.  For these customers, using our lease to own program is ideal because it gives them a way to purchase over time and solve the immediate challenge of providing clean restrooms at their location.  It is especially popular with government parks and recreation facilities.

Next month we will be providing  custom designed trailers for a major sporting goods chain in Boston, MA and we currently have our shower trailer/restroom trailer combination units throughout the United States with a private forestry service company.  Last weekend we provided units for a major sporting event (which we actually do quite frequently!) and there are multiple wine festivals that will feature our units throughout the fall.  There is no limit to the type of event we can accommodate or the length of time we can provide service.  Whether you want to lease for the weekend or lease to own, we hope you will call us and let us help you out!

Portable Restroom Trailers Supports Cancer Research

Portable Restroom Trailers will be donating time and trailers to the 1^st Annual Uncork the Cure Wine Festival benefiting the Prayers from Maria Foundation on Saturday, July 24, 2010 beginning at 1pm.  The Prayers from Maria Foundation is dedicated to funding global research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for the deadliest childhood brain tumors known as gliomas; raising public awareness about gliomas and bringing hope to children and their families who deal with the hardships of this disease. The glioma family of tumors accounts for almost 45% of all tumors and are the second highest cause of cancer deaths among young people.  85-95% of children who are diagnosed with a glioma die within five years.

In just a few short years Prayers for Maria Foundation has awarded $200,000 in grants for research to reputable institutions including The Dana Farber Cancer Institute of Boston as well as Cleveland’s own Case Western Reserve University’s Research Facility.  These cancer research grants would not be possible without events like Uncork the Cure, where funds are raised to award these grants.  We hope you will all come support this great foundation and we know that you will have a blast at the event!

Renowned wineries from around the country as well as some of the best restaurants in Cleveland will be there creating a unique upscale street party in the eclectic Cleveland suburb of Rocky River, the Tangletown District.  The festival will also be rockin’ a 32 team Bocce Ball Tournament sponsored by Peroni Beer (advanced registration required).  When the festival winds down at 8pm, the evening festivities will be underway…

The Oak Barrel Bash, a free outdoor concert, will feature wines from Uncork the Cure served by the glass as well as a beer garden.  Taking center stage at 8pm will be students from Rocky River’s own School of Rock followed by Shucking Bubba Deluxe.  SBD plays only the best cover songs ranging from old school hip-hop to funk to alternative rock guaranteed to help you get your groove on!

Lost a Team Member

The Portable Restroom team has lost a wonderful friend and team member last Sunday. Jeff McDermott has been an important member of our crew to deliver Portable Restroom Trailers on time to clients and job sites all over the midwest and east coast. Jeff is a great friend and family man  taking on huge events but still making all his daughters sports events, even when they made the Regionals
last fall when we were going crazy. We had a large job event with two Restroom Trailers to multiple Home Depot locations over the state of Michigan and Ohio. The units had to move every two weeks and the job sites were as far north as Traverse City. Jeff coordinated all the pick-ups and deliveries and set-ups with his team. Construction Delays and waiting for inspections  and the overlap of 8 Home Depots made this a tall order. Jeff died suddenly last week at the young age of 48. He was a great friend to many in our industry and a key to our success and will be sorely missed. Our hearts are heavy and our hearts are with his family today and always.
